Furthering its social welfare infrastructure, the county also broke ground on the Xiabu Multi-functional Social Welfare and Long-term Care Building in Changhua City. With a budget of approximately NT$236 million, this four-story facility utilizes an intergenerational care concept to serve residents from ages 0 to 100. It will include a childcare center for 60 infants and a day care center for 48 elderly individuals with disabilities or dementia, expected to be operational by 2028.
