The industry is currently viewed as being in a phase of “bottom-level accumulation” ahead of the upcoming peak season. To solidify this momentum, China has unveiled a five-year industry development plan aiming to establish the nation as a global automotive leader by 2030. The strategy focuses on intelligent, connected, and NEVs, with a target for NEVs to account for 70 percent of new passenger vehicle sales and 40 percent of new commercial vehicle sales domestically by 2030. The plan also emphasizes expanding autonomous driving technologies and improving efficiency, such as reducing average passenger vehicle fuel consumption to 3.3 liters per 100 km.
