In response to these failures and the lack of roadside surveillance along the 43-kilometer route, law enforcement has closed three travel agency offices and seized nine buses. The National Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu cognizance, issuing notices to police chiefs in both Delhi and Noida for detailed reports.

To prevent future incidents, the Delhi government has implemented strict safety mandates for all state-run and private bus operators, including inter-state vehicles. These include the mandatory installation of functional Vehicle Location Tracking Devices (VLTDs), panic buttons, fire extinguishers, and first-aid kits. To improve visibility, the use of curtains and unauthorized window films is prohibited. Operators must also ensure vehicles are parked in authorized, well-lit, and secure locations when idle. Personnel requirements now include mandatory background checks, valid licenses, and prescribed uniforms. Additionally, authorities are considering the deployment of female police personnel and women home guards on vulnerable routes during peak hours. Bus crews are required to report harassment immediately by dialing 112 and must assist passengers with disabilities.
