While the agreement includes provisions for technology transfer, the Greek Left Coalition (ELAS) has raised concerns following an interview with Moshe Patel, head of the Israel Missile Defense Organization. Patel stated that Greece does not have access to the source code for the system’s command and control capabilities because it was not included in the usage license. ELAS argues this lack of access prevents exclusive Greek control, suggesting the country could be ‘hostage’ to foreign powers. In response to these concerns, Israeli officials have clarified that the cooperation involves technology transfer and the joint use of software and technology with the Greek Armed Forces.
