Entry‑level administrators will earn just above €1,300, mid‑level officials €1,900‑€2,100, health‑sector workers €2,200‑€2,400 and senior managers over €4,000. One‑off payments of €800‑€1,200 linked to recent contract updates, especially in education and research, were also highlighted. On 10 July the public‑sector union Confintesa, together with other justice‑sector unions, reiterated support for the April‑29 integrative contract with Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, stressing that staffing rules are set by the contract, not by recent CSMM guidelines, and noting court‑registry vacancies averaging 30 % and exceeding 50 % in some locations. On 28 July the payroll system was overhauled: more than two million public‑sector employees will receive their August 2026 payslips in three stages (preview, full slip, bank credit).
