Aragón and Madrid have also raised concerns regarding legal uncertainty and the potential for data centers to double or triple local electricity consumption. While the Community of Madrid has defended the sector, rejecting claims that data centers threaten water reserves by citing advanced cooling technologies, the Ministry for Ecological Transition continues to defend the measures to manage massive electricity demand.
