In Kamp-Lintfort, the Leucht project by Kronos Solar Projects GmbH utilizes Power Purchase Agreements to sell electricity directly to industrial consumers, integrating battery storage to manage grid stability. Additionally, a pilot project in Bonn by the startup Solation is testing a social model where surplus solar power from a commercial building is donated to local non-profit organizations via a ‘virtual battery’ concept.
