STVyARA leader Graciela Aleñá criticized the administration, describing the situation as a ‘deliberate emptying of Vialidad Nacional’ to justify the privatization of more than 9,000 kilometers of the national road network. The government is currently evaluating the incorporation of 26 new national road segments into private concession systems.

Furthermore, the union highlighted a contradiction in government policy, noting that the administration seeks to increase oversight of concessions while simultaneously implementing voluntary retirement programs that reduce technical staff. This follows previous legal actions, including a formal investigation by Federal Judge Ariel Lijo into the purported misappropriation of funds by Economy Minister Luis Caputo and other officials. Tensions remain high as labor groups and local authorities warn that reduced state resources and the withholding of funds could threaten essential services and infrastructure integrity.
