Colombia continues to advance various infrastructure and rural development initiatives. Early efforts focused on educational and agricultural expansion, such as the construction of new modules at the Universidad Industrial de Santander y de la Paz (UNIPAZ) campus and the ‘Colombia Sostenible’ program for small-scale producers. Recent progress at the UNIPAZ campus in Barrancabermeja shows the expansion project has reached 16.5% completion. Transportation projects have seen significant movement. In Buenaventura, construction of an internal alternative road has entered a new phase involving the demolition of houses to accommodate a 12-kilometer dual carriageway and a 10-hectare logistics yard. Additionally, Mayor Ligia del Carmen Córdoba announced that the district will not implement previously outlined vehicle circulation charges, prioritizing port connectivity and earthquake-damaged road repairs. In Pasto, the Ministry of Culture authorized a mixed-use intervention for Calle 18, a 5,000 million peso project slated to begin after the 2027 Carnival of Blacks and Whites. In the Bolívar department, the Ministry of Transport and Invías are in phase 3 of a project to connect the north and south of the region. In the Bogotá metropolitan area, the Avenida 68 TransMilenio trunk is over 88% complete.
