Diplomatic participation in 81st UN General Assembly

Various nations are participating in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week in New York, operating under the theme ‘Restoring trust, managing transformation: A United Nations that delivers for all.’

Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud is leading a high-ranking delegation to engage in bilateral and multilateral meetings regarding political, security, and economic coordination. The delegation includes Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir, and Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah. Their discussions aim to address regional and international stability and priority global challenges.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is leading an Indian delegation and is scheduled to address the High-Level Session on September 26. His itinerary includes various bilateral and plurilateral meetings to advance Sustainable Development Goals.

The Mauritian Foreign Minister is attending to advance strategic priorities, including the Chagos Archipelago sovereignty issue, climate change, and the vulnerabilities of Small Island Developing States.

Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is also participating to mobilize international support for restoring security, institutional consolidation, and organizing general elections tentatively planned for December. He is scheduled to meet with several leaders, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, to discuss governance, migration, and economic development.
