Following protests by TIPRA Motha supporters demanding accountability, police arrested two suspects, Sankhanad Debbarma and Sukumar Debbarma, in the Takarjala area on a Thursday night. Additional Superintendent of Police Rajib Sutradhar stated that investigations are ongoing to identify further suspects. In response to the police action and the overall election situation, TIPRA Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma announced that the party would meet in Agartala to determine their next steps.
