In the department of Atlántico, heavy rains in Barranquilla resulted in four vehicles being swept away by currents. In Montería, authorities reported flooded buildings and submerged vehicles, while a red alert was declared in the Minca area of Santa Marta due to the risk of rising river levels in the Piedras and Manzanares basins. Experts attribute these conditions to a combination of a trough and low-pressure zones in the Atlantic.
