Cultural and heritage initiatives in Italy continue to be highlighted through various artistic, religious, and historical projects.

In Calabria, the ‘La Passio di Santa Marina’ ceramic project was unveiled in Sant’Andrea Apostolo dello Ionio to integrate archaeology with religious devotion. Concurrently, Porto Cesareo held celebrations for the feast of Santa Cesarea Vergine, featuring religious processions and traditional ceremonies.

In Basilicata, the ViCaM project released the publication ‘Sulle tracce del vino in Basilicata.’ Developed by archaeologists Maria Pina Garaguso, Annarita Sannazzaro, and Stefano Del Lungo, the volume utilizes applied archaeology to create enotourism itineraries across four DOC regions, connecting wine production with historical landscapes.

In Tuscany, the Fondazione Villa Bertelli hosted the ‘Pittura a Napoli dopo Caravaggio’ exhibition at Forte dei Marmi. Curated by Nadia Bastogi, the show presents the De Vito Foundation’s collection of 17th-century Neapolitan paintings, tracing the evolution of naturalism following Caravaggio’s influence.

Recent developments also include the ‘Libri da Gustare’ festival in Limone Piemonte, where author Maria Luisa Alberico presented ‘Abbecedario Dionisiaco,’ a book mapping Italy’s viticultural heritage through over 200 grape varieties. Additionally, Andrea De Pasquale’s ‘L’Ospedale dei libri’ explores the history of the Institute of Book Pathology, detailing its journey from its 1938 founding to its integration into the Ministry of Culture and its role in preserving historical documents.
