Lamborghini expands Urus SE Performante hybrid SUV rollout

CEO Stephan Winkelmann framed the Urus SE Performante as the flagship of Lamborghini’s high‑performance hybrid strategy, crucial for revenue as the brand electrifies. Production is set for March 2027, with deliveries early that year and a Vietnam launch later in 2026; the Urus line represented about half of Lamborghini’s global sales last year (≈11,000 units).

On 27 July 2026 Lamborghini released a limited Halo‑themed Urus SE Master Chief 117 Edition—30 collectible scale models priced at $400 each for an online contest. The same announcement teased a new Urus Performante variant featuring a plug‑in hybrid drivetrain (4.0‑litre V8 biturbo plus electric motor, 25.9 kWh battery, ~800 hp) and visual updates such as carbon‑fiber spoilers, a rear‑deck aero‑wing and Y‑shaped LED lighting, aimed at further weight reduction and performance gains.
