Following the NEET PG 2026 examination on August 30, 2026, and a re-examination on September 5 for approximately 2,499 candidates in Jaipur, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the results and qualifying cutoff marks.

The top-ranking candidate achieved a score of 641 out of 720, with the top 20 candidates scoring between 614 and 641 marks. Data indicates that small score variations significantly impact All India Rank (AIR); for example, a score of 600 places a candidate in the AIR 101–200 zone, whereas 508 marks corresponds to approximately AIR 10,000.

Qualifying cutoffs for MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, and DrNB counseling have been established by category. The General/EWS category requires a 50th percentile (262 marks), General PwBD requires a 45th percentile (244 marks), and SC/ST/OBC categories require a 40th percentile (226 marks). Candidates meeting these criteria are eligible for the medical admission counseling process.

While the board reviews all questions for technical correctness, there remains no provision for re-evaluation, rechecking, or re-totalling of responses. Additionally, following a Supreme Court order issued on September 17, 2026, the NBEMS implemented changes to the NEET SS 2025 examination by lowering the qualifying percentile from the 50th to the 30th percentile to foster inclusivity.
