Jets finalize roster and prepare for regular season

Overview

The New York Jets’ preseason concluded with a 23-6 loss to the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. As the regular season approaches, Geno Smith is set to start at quarterback this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, marking his first regular-season start for the franchise since October 2016. Smith has also been voted by his teammates as one of the team's six captains. Additionally, running back Breece Hall is progressing from a right groin strain and may be available to play this Sunday.
