Seasonal Halloween promotions in Japan

Overview

Various businesses and venues across Japan are launching seasonal Halloween-themed events and menus for the 2026 season. In Kanazawa, the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel is collaborating with Notojima Aquarium to offer a Halloween afternoon tea from September 1 to October 31. The menu includes 12 types of sweets modeled after marine life, such as spotted seals and garden eels, alongside savory items like Halloween cheese burgers. A 300 yen donation from each set will support the aquarium’s animal care.

Tokyo Disney Resort will host ‘Disney Halloween’ from September 16 to October 31, featuring new merchandise such as Mickey Mouse and friends in pajamas, as well as items themed after Disney Villains. Food offerings include maple pumpkin churros, themed snack boxes, and purple sweet potato cafe lattes. In Nagoya and Osaka, DRESSY CAFE will begin serving a ‘Happy Halloween Menu’ on September 15 at its KITTE locations, featuring a ‘Black Sesame Banana Monster Frappe’. Retailer Cheese Garden will release a Halloween Baked Goods Box starting September 16.

New retail and confectionery additions include Kaldi Coffee Farm’s black cat series, featuring coin cases and clip keyholders that have already sold out online. Kinokuniya is introducing Halloween-themed dessert bags with Frankenstein and black cat designs. Yoku Moku has debuted its ‘Cadeau d’Automne’ gift set, containing seasonal chestnut and sweet potato sablés. Additionally, latte Shimokitazawa continues its offering of a customizable ‘Bear Ghost Halloween Plate’ featuring autumn ingredients like purple sweet potato, pumpkin, apple, and chestnut.
