These shifts create uncertainty for the governing coalition with the ÖVP and NEOS. While the ÖVP maintains its commitment to the coalition, discussions regarding potential early elections have surfaced. Meanwhile, the Freiheitliche Wirtschaft (FW) has criticized the government for prioritizing political maneuvering over economic stability, noting a projected 2026 national budget deficit of approximately 22 billion euros.
