Overview

In Nelson, the IIO has concluded its investigation into the August 11, 2026, arrest of an intoxicated and uncooperative youth. The IIO is investigating whether the man’s injuries meet the ‘serious harm’ threshold and if they are connected to officer actions. The agency is currently appealing for witnesses to contact their hotline.
