In Chile, the Seremi de Salud de Coquimbo hosted a community fair in La Serena to provide guidance to families. Officials noted that while exclusive breastfeeding rates in hospitals rose to 73% in 2025, maintaining exclusive breastfeeding through the first six months remains a challenge, with rates dropping to 56% by that milestone. Furthermore, the Seremi of Health of Antofagasta officially recognized the breastfeeding room at the Hospital Regional de Antofagasta, ensuring it meets technical and sanitary standards in accordance with Chilean Law 21.155.
