Furthermore, the Parliament of Andalusia has provided unanimous bipartisan support, framing the bid as a regional project representing Andalusian diversity and heritage.

Oviedo continues to promote its candidacy centered on the concept of ‘Amabilidad’ (Kindness). During the FIDMA 2026 fair, Mayor Alfredo Canteli emphasized this narrative to engage Asturian citizens. The city has also expanded its community outreach through ‘Sentémonos’ meetings in local neighborhoods like La Argañosa. These sessions, which include youth volunteers and migrant residents, aim to gather input for the collective project. Project Development Manager Aida San Juan confirmed that the candidacy will continue to prioritize activities for children, following the success of initiatives like the ‘Marcha por la Amabilidad’.
