To facilitate this, the rival factions must submit all pleadings and documents within four weeks, after which the Commission will have three months to conclude the matter regarding the party name and the ‘flowers and grass’ symbol.

Further institutional challenges have emerged for the TMC. Following a reorganization of parliamentary standing committees, the party lost the chairmanship of two major committees, with the Commerce Committee chair being reassigned to the BJP. Additionally, the Supreme Court denied relief to Mamata Banerjee regarding four party bank accounts frozen by West Bengal police following a cybercrime complaint. The court noted that the Calcutta High Court is currently determining the rightful owner of the funds amidst the ongoing dispute between the two factions.
