Legislative advancements include plans to submit four major draft laws to the National Assembly, covering food safety, tobacco harm prevention, organ transplantation, and pharmacy laws. The Ministry is also working to amend the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment to decentralize licensing and reorganize medical service forms.
Parallel to these structural changes, Vietnam is shifting toward proactive, preventive healthcare to address a rapidly aging population. This includes advancements in medical technology, specialized vaccine training, and community-based health management. Local initiatives, such as free periodic screenings in Ha Tinh and expanded immunization programs in Phu Tho, support this transition from reactive treatment to long-term health management.
