Specific discount caps per person include 20,000 yen for single-night stays, 30,000 yen for two or more nights with transport, and 35,000 yen for multi-prefecture tours.

In mid-September 2026, Kumamoto Prefecture launched the ‘Kumamoto Fukko Oenwari,’ with reservations opening September 15 for stays through December 25. By mid-September, reservations for the broader national program also began, initially targeting Kumamoto and Nagasaki. In late October, JTB commenced web reservations for Kagoshima under the same initiative. As of late September 2026, the Japan Tourism Agency announced strict oversight to prevent ‘opportunistic price hikes,’ noting that businesses implementing surcharges may be excluded from the program.
