In the Philadelphia region, the Market Street Bridge reconstruction project involves significant disruptions. Statewide infrastructure funding remains a key driver, with $250 million in the 2026-27 budget allocated for 79 Rapid Deployment projects and $775 million from the Motor License Fund for state-owned road repairs over the next 18 months. This supplements an anticipated $4 billion investment for projects currently out to bid.

Other active maintenance includes daytime lane restrictions on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County from September 28 through October 1 for crack sealing, bridge repairs, and litter removal. Additional ongoing work includes paving on Route 77 in Crawford County, repairs on U.S. 40 in Wharton Township, and bridge deck and guiderail upgrades on Route 378 in Bethlehem.
