This marks the first time the original film will be presented in an IMAX format. A newly restored version of the original film is scheduled to return to theaters on February 19, 2027. ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’, which was shot using IMAX-certified cameras as a “Filmed For IMAX” production, is set for theatrical release on May 28, 2027.
