The company contends the appellate court overstepped its jurisdiction by substituting its own injunction for the original judicial measure. This follows a separate petition to the Supreme Court by Ilva in extraordinary administration.

Legal and criminal pressures continue to mount. Milan prosecutors have launched a criminal investigation into Acciaierie d’Italia for alleged fraudulent bankruptcy and false accounting. Former president and CEO Lucia Morselli is under investigation following allegations that management engaged in asset-stripping to benefit ArcelorMittal.
