They stressed the importance of a comprehensive agreement to prevent the expansion of hostilities and agreed to coordinate through a regional four-country mechanism involving Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

While Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif describes Pakistan’s position as walking a ‘tight rope,’ the Foreign Office maintains that diplomatic efforts are ongoing. Pakistan continues to link its regional stability to security concerns in Afghanistan, stating that progress in relations with the Taliban is contingent upon verifiable actions against terrorist organizations like the TTP and BLA.
