Overview

Porsche has begun the market rollout of the Cayenne Electric in several regions. The model was officially launched in Malaysia, where it is available in standard and Coupé body styles. These units are fully imported from the Volkswagen Bratislava Plant in Slovakia and utilize the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture.

As the brand prepares for the formal introduction of the vehicle in India on September 30, 2026, technical specifications have been detailed. The lineup features a 113 kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery and an 800V electrical architecture. The standard model offers a WLTP driving range of up to 643 km, while the Cayenne Turbo Electric—described as the “most powerful Porsche ever produced”—can reach 1,156 PS when utilizing Launch Control. In India, the standard model is priced starting at ₹1.77 crore, with the Turbo variant starting at ₹2.28 crore. Deliveries in India are expected during the second half of 2026.

Additionally, Porsche officially unveiled the new Cayenne Electric lineup at an event in Los Cabos. This new generation is intended to complement, rather than replace, existing combustion and hybrid versions. To support the new models, Porsche collaborated with Pirelli to develop six custom tire versions using a 100% virtual development process. These tires utilize Pirelli ELECT technology to manage instant torque, reduce noise, and provide low rolling resistance for increased range.

Technical developments for the fourth-generation Cayenne Electric include active aerodynamics, such as adaptive rear spoilers and front panels designed to manage battery and brake temperatures, aiming for a drag coefficient of 0.25. The interior will feature a vertical OLED ‘Flow Display’ with augmented reality capabilities. Furthermore, Porsche is reportedly planning a successor to the internal combustion engine Macan, potentially based on the Audi Q5 platform, to offer a more accessible price point as the current Macan transitions to an EV-only model.
