The crisis is causing economic disruption; in Maturín, businesses such as ice cream shops report losses due to broken cold chains. Additionally, the Metro de Caracas is coordinating with the Ministry of Electric Energy to implement energy efficiency strategies and reduce its load to prevent system overloading.
