By mid-September, agricultural unions, including the FNSEA, Jeunes Agriculteurs, and FRSEA Pays de la Loire, warned that ongoing drought is depleting cash reserves and threatening livestock farming through fodder shortages and falling prices. Union leaders expressed concern that current plans are insufficient to prevent farm closures. Arnaud Rousseau, president of the FNSEA, demanded immediate financial interventions, such as zero-interest loans and rapid aid disbursement, rather than waiting for the next budget cycle.
