This suspension threatens intensive care units, ventilators, and the cold chains required for vaccines. By late September, the fuel crisis escalated as hospitals reported exhausting necessary supplies for generators. By mid-October 2026, the crisis has escalated into a massive loss of infrastructure and rising mortality.
