Technical documentation identifies two primary Zen 6 product lines: Olympic Ridge and Medusa. Olympic Ridge is expected to launch in late 2026 or early 2027, potentially utilizing TSMC’s 2nm process with configurations ranging from 6 to 24 cores. The Medusa line, which includes ‘Medusa Point’ and ‘Medusa Halo’ APUs, is designed for both the AM5 socket and the mobile FP10 platform. These APUs are expected to feature advanced RDNA graphics cores and XDNA NPU architectures, with mobile arrivals projected around 2027.

AMD has expanded its current desktop offerings to bridge architectural gaps. The Ryzen 5 7500, a Zen 4-based processor for the AM5 socket, features 6 cores, 12 threads, and integrated RDNA 2-based graphics. Additionally, the company introduced the Ryzen 5 5500F for the older AM4 socket; this Zen 3-based model lacks integrated graphics and features 16 MB of L3 cache.

In the enterprise sector, Zen 6 has debuted in EPYC Venice processors. Meanwhile, hardware reliability concerns persist following reports of a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an MSI motherboard sustaining permanent damage and visible burn marks after three months of use.
