Entities: Sodik Mudjahid · Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) RI · Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) · Idy Muzayyad · Kabupaten Langkat

Overview

In May 2026 Baznas deepened cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs, channeling zakat, infak and sadaqah into housing, scholarships, small‑business development and humanitarian aid, and launched a vocational‑training scheme for 40 women in Tangerang. Mid‑May saw the distribution of 4,000 ready‑to‑eat meals in East Jakarta and an award from the Ministry of Religious Affairs for Baznas’ outreach in remote 3T regions. The agency transferred 5 billion rupiah in humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian Embassy, raising its total mobilised aid for Gaza to 150 billion rupiah, and later delivered Eid‑qurbani meat to about 6,700 Palestinian refugees in Idlib, Syria.

After the June 1 fire in Jakarta’s Kemayoran district, Baznas deployed emergency meals, a temporary clinic and lighting for displaced families. It opened scholarship enrollment in Padang, provided free health checks to earthquake‑affected residents in Central Sulawesi, and pushed productive‑zakat reforms. Partnerships expanded with Persis and the DPR, establishing a UPZ within parliamentary facilities and new scholarship and micro‑enterprise programmes.

July brought a strategic tie‑up with the Ministry of Cooperatives to integrate Z‑Chicken and micro‑finance schemes, and a humanitarian pact with 4TDK to support Gaza reconstruction and Palestinian scholarships. A zakat‑literacy drive mobilised 25,000 civil servants and set a Rp1.4 trillion collection target for 2026. BAZNAS announced leadership selections in Makassar and Kaur Regency and presented a Zakat Compliance Award to 56 sharia‑compliant firms.

The “Wujudkan Anak Ceria” programme began assisting 2,000 vulnerable children in Indonesia and Palestine, while Baznas’ Rumah Sehat unit provided free skin‑care services to santri. A new disability‑employment initiative with the Ministry of Labour was launched, and the integrated Satu Data ZIS‑DSKL platform was unveiled to improve zakat data management and help reach a Rp50 trillion national collection goal.
