The organization noted that nitrogen fertilizer prices have risen approximately 70% compared to 2024 levels and urged that payments be made before major fertilization periods to support the 2026–2027 campaign.

Simultaneously, agricultural organizations are seeking drought relief following severe soil drought in western counties, including Arad, Bihor, Caraș-Severin, Timiș, and Satu Mare. The Alliance for Agriculture and Cooperation has requested an immediate inventory of affected crops and pastures. While government decisions suggest emergency grants of approximately 523 lei/ha for corn and sunflower crops, reports indicate the Ministry of Agriculture may limit support to a maximum of 100 lei/ha, adjusted by damage degree. For spring crops, the deadline for damage notification is October 15, 2026.
